Whole-person care, not just the drug.

Most specialty pharmacies stop at the IV bag. We don't. Every QSC member has access to our Integrated Wellness Team — registered dietitians, a director of behavioral health, a director of patient resources and advocacy, and our Food-as-Medicine program — at no additional cost, because whole-person care is how complex therapy actually works.

Why we built it

A drug doesn't make a patient well by itself.

Members managing complex chronic disease deal with far more than dosing schedules. They deal with food insecurity, treatment fatigue, mental load, housing instability, transportation, utility shutoffs, and the daily grind of staying on therapy when life keeps getting in the way. Our Wellness Team exists because we noticed early on that the patients who stayed on therapy and got better outcomes had one thing in common — they had someone helping them with everything that wasn't the drug. So we built the team. It's free to every QSC member. No referral required.

Meet the team

The people behind everything that isn't the drug.

Four roles, one care plan. Members can reach any of them — or all of them — through their QSC nurse.

Nutrition

Ryan, Registered Dietitian at Quantify Specialty Care

Ryan — Registered Dietitian

Ryan brings a personalized approach to nutrition counseling — he makes sure he understands your concerns before he asks you to change a single thing. He earned a BS in Nutrition from the University of Minnesota and completed his dietetic internship at the University of Minnesota Medical Center with an emphasis on Medical Nutrition Therapy. Outside the clinic he stays active, cooks his own meals, and trains at his local gym six days a week — he practices what he prescribes.

Nutrition

Anna, Registered Dietitian at Quantify Specialty Care

Anna — Registered Dietitian

Anna specializes in weight management with deep clinical experience inside the VA health system. She holds dual BS degrees in Nutrition Science and Dietetics from the University of Southern Mississippi and completed the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital Dietetic Internship program in 2019, then worked for the VA through 2025. She served in the United States Air Force from 2007–2017 with five combat deployments. A lifelong swimmer, she lives in the mountains of Colorado with her husband and two dogs.

Counseling & Behavioral Health

Brenda Thayer, MS, BC-TMH, LPC — Director of Behavioral Health at Quantify Specialty Care

Brenda Thayer, MS, BC-TMH, LPC — Director of Behavioral Health

Brenda is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Supervisor with more than 24 years in the mental health field and a Master of Science from Capella University. Her clinical skill set spans Crisis Intervention, Clinical Supervision, Anger Management, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with deep experience across hospital and health care settings. She has also led workshops and presentations on historical and intergenerational trauma — the kind of context that matters when a chronic diagnosis lands on top of a lifetime of compounded stress.

At QSC she works one-on-one with members navigating the emotional weight of chronic illness — the anxiety of new diagnoses, the burnout of long-term therapy, the family strain that comes with caregiving. Her counseling is integrated directly into the QSC care plan, not bolted on.

Patient Resources & Advocacy

Dyonna Strauss, Director of Patient Resources and Advocacy at Quantify Specialty Care

Dyonna Strauss — Director of Patient Resources & Advocacy

Dyonna Strauss leads Patient Resources & Advocacy for Quantify Specialty Care, where she is dedicated to helping patients overcome barriers that affect their health and well-being. Working closely with patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and community organizations, Dyonna assists individuals in accessing resources that address Social Determinants of Health (SDOH), including transportation, housing, food insecurity, utility assistance, financial support, medication affordability, and other essential needs.

With a passion for advocacy and problem-solving, Dyonna connects patients with local, state, and national programs that can improve their quality of life and help them focus on their healthcare journey. She is committed to treating every patient with compassion, respect, and understanding while helping them navigate complex resource systems and identify practical solutions to their unique challenges.

Medical exercise

Movement that's safe for your body, today.

Exercise isn't one-size-fits-all when you're managing complex disease. Our Medical Exercise Program — delivered in partnership with Vitala Health — is designed by specialists to help you move with confidence, reduce symptoms, and recover faster after procedures or flare-ups. Every program is built around your specific medical conditions, not a generic plan. Safe, guided, and adjusted as you improve.

Food-as-Medicine

Real meals, designed for your therapy.

Nutrition is medicine for the patients we serve. The QSC Food-as-Medicine program delivers chef-crafted, condition-appropriate meals directly to members — in partnership with CookUnity, who has delivered over 50 million meals nationwide. Members work with Ryan or Anna to choose meal plans that fit their therapy, dietary restrictions, and household. No prep, no grocery shopping, no wondering if dinner is going to make tomorrow's labs worse.

This is like Christmas. I get to sit down and do some shopping. I honestly thought it was Christmas when I found out I didn't have to drive three hours for my infusions and could have them at home. Then I found out about the program and thought it was too good to be true. This is life-changing for me and my family.

With this program we have been able to completely change the way she is eating, and for the first time in years her labs all came back within normal limits. She hasn't had any accidents and she hasn't had to take the heavy-hitting med for loose stools.
