Four roles, one care plan. Members can reach any of them — or all of them — through their QSC nurse.
Nutrition
Ryan — Registered Dietitian
Ryan brings a personalized approach to nutrition counseling — he makes sure he understands your concerns before he asks you to change a single thing. He earned a BS in Nutrition from the University of Minnesota and completed his dietetic internship at the University of Minnesota Medical Center with an emphasis on Medical Nutrition Therapy. Outside the clinic he stays active, cooks his own meals, and trains at his local gym six days a week — he practices what he prescribes.
Nutrition
Anna — Registered Dietitian
Anna specializes in weight management with deep clinical experience inside the VA health system. She holds dual BS degrees in Nutrition Science and Dietetics from the University of Southern Mississippi and completed the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital Dietetic Internship program in 2019, then worked for the VA through 2025. She served in the United States Air Force from 2007–2017 with five combat deployments. A lifelong swimmer, she lives in the mountains of Colorado with her husband and two dogs.
Counseling & Behavioral Health
Brenda Thayer, MS, BC-TMH, LPC — Director of Behavioral Health
Brenda is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Supervisor with more than 24 years in the mental health field and a Master of Science from Capella University. Her clinical skill set spans Crisis Intervention, Clinical Supervision, Anger Management, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with deep experience across hospital and health care settings. She has also led workshops and presentations on historical and intergenerational trauma — the kind of context that matters when a chronic diagnosis lands on top of a lifetime of compounded stress.
At QSC she works one-on-one with members navigating the emotional weight of chronic illness — the anxiety of new diagnoses, the burnout of long-term therapy, the family strain that comes with caregiving. Her counseling is integrated directly into the QSC care plan, not bolted on.
Patient Resources & Advocacy
Dyonna Strauss — Director of Patient Resources & Advocacy
Dyonna Strauss leads Patient Resources & Advocacy for Quantify Specialty Care, where she is dedicated to helping patients overcome barriers that affect their health and well-being. Working closely with patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and community organizations, Dyonna assists individuals in accessing resources that address Social Determinants of Health (SDOH), including transportation, housing, food insecurity, utility assistance, financial support, medication affordability, and other essential needs.
With a passion for advocacy and problem-solving, Dyonna connects patients with local, state, and national programs that can improve their quality of life and help them focus on their healthcare journey. She is committed to treating every patient with compassion, respect, and understanding while helping them navigate complex resource systems and identify practical solutions to their unique challenges.
